Our office in Westminster, CO is currently seeking a full-time Controls Engineer


  • Design, development, and testing of custom products involving PLCs, HMI development, servo motion control, programming, and robotics on multiple control platforms.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare electrical designs and perform component selection for custom industrial
  • automated systems
  • Interface with outside vendors for component selection and manufacturing
  • Perform motion control, VFD, and HMI programming
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
  • Implement electrical controls design by providing hands-on assembly, installation, and
  • start-up support related to electrical control designs
  • Manage personal schedule of responsibilities on multiple projects and communicate with
  • engineering and manufacturing team members throughout the process
  • Develop design documents including reports, client emails/status, project deliverables
  • Support reviews and comment incorporation of designs
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (required)
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in design of electrical / controls design for industrial applications
  • Strong controls design experience (required)
  • Good manufacturing support experience (required)
  • Experience with Beckoff control systems
  • Experience with industrial networking systems (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT), including design, configuration, and commissioning
  • Hydraulic and Electro-mechanical experience
  • Nuclear or other high hazard industry experience



  • Proficient in AutoCAD (required)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical
  • Proficient in MS Office (required)
  • Ability to write technical documents
  • Ability to work independently and comfortable making design decisions (required)
  • Ability to work as part of a team (required)



This position involves working in a small remote handling design group specializing in nuclear

decommission project. The working environment consists of a close group of senior engineers

in a remote office, working for a larger company. We develop equipment for some of the most

difficult environments in the world including nuclear disasters and chemical weapons



We are looking for an experienced, independent and motivated engineer who wants to be a

part of building and testing what they design. This is a project-based business that works on a

variety of design challenges around the world and we are looking for engineers who like

variety in their work and are motivated by challenging problems. We are looking for people

who can be given broad design scope/criteria and can take those from concept to manufacture

with team support but not requiring detailed direction.
